Perfect blend of history and nature
What makes Phaselis special is that you can explore ancient ruins AND swim in crystal clear water all in one visit. The setting is absolutely stunning - pine forests, ancient stones, and the Mediterranean Sea. We spent 4 hours here and could have stayed longer. Highly recommend arriving early to avoid the tour groups.

One of Turkey's hidden gems
We've visited many archaeological sites in Turkey, but Phaselis is unique. The combination of well-preserved ruins and beautiful beaches is unmatched. The ancient main street is impressive, and you can really imagine what life was like here 2000 years ago. The entrance fee is very reasonable.

Beautiful but can get crowded
A wonderful site with three beautiful bays. The ruins are spread out nicely and there's plenty to see. My only complaint is that it gets very crowded during peak season, especially when cruise ships are in port. Visit early morning or late afternoon for the best experience.

Magical sunset views
We timed our visit to be there for sunset and it was absolutely magical. The ruins take on a golden glow and the sea turns amazing colors. Brought a picnic and ate on the beach after exploring. One of the highlights of our Turkey trip. Make sure to bring water and wear comfortable shoes!
